Epsom & Ewell Dementia Action Alliance
Epsom & Ewell is one of eleven boroughs in Surrey.
With the demographics of an ageing population, there is a very real and potential risk of people being socially isolated within the local community. The Epsom & Ewell Local Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) aims to support the diverse people affected by dementia and raise the profile of dementia issues within the borough.
The number of people estimated to have dementia in Surrey is over 16,000 more locally in Epsom & Ewell it is around 1,030.
Epsom & Ewell LDAA assists in moving local organisations towards and creating a fully integrated and inclusive Dementia Friendly Community, where people living with, and affected by dementia are enabled to live well, and feel a valued part of their local community.
The Epsom & Ewell DAA has identified the following priority areas
- Improving dementia awareness in Epsom and Ewell
- Engage with the different communities in the borough to support them to become dementia friendly
