Runnymede Dementia Action Alliance

Runnymede LDAA is based in the County of Surrey in South East England.

The number of people estimated to have dementia in Surrey is over 16,000.

The Runnymede Local DAA has been created to capitalise on the work that several business and organisations are already doing and help them to share this good practice. We are also aware that people living with dementia are often not aware of the range of services that are available right on their doorstep. We want to make them more aware by including them in what is accessible locally to them.

This Runnymede LDAA has identified the following priority areas:

  • The Pooley Green parade of shops that is used by a great number of local older people in the community and has received some funding for re-development
  • Egham which is a thriving small community with a day centre for older people
  • Addlestone high street which has recently gained a brand new shopping and entertainment centre

Meetings are held quarterly
