Bury Dementia Awareness Week Events - including East Lancs Railway! May 2016

The Bury Dementia Action Alliance is made up of organisations across Bury, working together to radically improve the lives of people living with dementia and their carers.

Bury Dementia Action Alliance meetings 2016:

  • Tuesday 19 January, 1pm - 3pm at Pinfold Lane Day Centre, M45 7NY
  • Wednesday 16 March, 10am - 12noon at Harry Whitehead Court, BL9 6QN
  • Thursday 12 May, 1pm - 3pm at Brookdale Care Home, BL9 6BX
  • Tuesday 9 August, 10am - 12noon at Brookdale Care Home, BL9 6BX
  • Wednesday 12 October, 1pm - 3pm at Harry Whitehead Court, BL9 6QN

Brookdale Care Home opens its doors to Bury Dementia Action Alliance. Pat Jones-Greenhalgh, executive director of Adult Care Services for Bury Council and chairman of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services in England (ADASS) also attended the meeting, and championed the excellent work taking place in Bury.

Bury Dementia Action Alliance's KETSO workshop

DAA ketso 1Bury DAA recently held a KETSO workshop to generate ideas on how to improve outcomes for people with dementia in Bury. With over 30 in attendance, Bury DAA is looking forward to progressing some of the ideas in 2015:
