Creative Community

Event Date:
Friday 01 February 2019
Westgate Chapel, 92A High Street, Lewes
The Oyster Project

The first of a weekly creative and Dementia friendly space, we especially welcome people living with Dementia and their carers, although this space is open to all.

In our large room we will have art activities available, as well as large tactile hand and rod puppets, books and magazines, sometimes singing or story telling and tea and coffee facilities.

People living with Dementia will be able to express themselves creatively in a variety of ways with an experienced artist and puppeteer who is experienced at working creatively with people with Dementia. Carers will have a chance to relax and read a magazine, make friends, or join in with being creative, a wonderful form of communication.

It is a wheelchair accessible space.
