Diagnosing dementia in younger people
A diagnosis of young onset dementia takes an average of 4.4 years, twice as long as a person aged over the age of 65.
In response to this disturbing statistic, the Young Dementia Network has created a guide to support GPs in recognising possible symptoms and aid onward referral. We believe the guide is a vital aid to increasing GPs understanding and awareness of the wide-ranging symptoms of this relatively rare condition.
Developed and created using feedback from our Network members and GPs across the UK, the guide has been endorsed by the Royal College of GPs.
