We are a local charity whose mission is to work with and for older people to improve the quality of later life. Established over 65 years ago, we are the biggest local charity working with older people. Our main roles are: providing a wide range of services to keep older people independent, active and safe; campaigning on behalf of older people; and delivering Information & Advice tailored to the needs of older people. Age UK Solihull
Age UK Solihull is an independent Charity providing services to residents of Solihull. Many of our services are focused solely on the needs and rights of older people, however some services, such as the Community Advice Hubs and the Direct Payments Information and Advice Service are inclusive of all adults and children respectively. The Community Advice Hubs are the part of the Local Authority’s Wellbeing Pathway and bring together a range of local organisations with the aim of understanding the customers’ needs, recognising where additional support is required or will be required in the future, providing high quality information and advice and referring to appropriate organisations that can meet the needs and circumstances of the individual. Age UK South Lakeland
Age UK South Lakeland is an independent charity and has been operating locally since 1978. We have been a brand partner of the national charity Age UK since April 2010. Our services cover the whole of South Lakeland, and our impact locally is driven by the passion and dedication of our team of over 50 staff and over 300 volunteers, as well as our ability to raise much needed funds to sustain our work now and in the future. Sometimes the problems we face in later life can't be tackled on our own. We provide tailored information. We give one to one advice. We campaign locally. And we do much more, from organising village drop-ins to setting up lunch clubs, working with older people so that they can stay living well at home. Our purpose is to work with local older people to help them retain their independence and exercise real choice in their lives. We aim to do this by: • Delivering services that help to meet the needs of older people and fit with the other local services in the communities in which they live • Informing and advising older people of their rights and options • Advocating for and on behalf of older people on issues which matter to them as individuals or communities, consistently and constantly to ensure we fully understand their needs. We make a difference to the 18,000 people who use our services every year.

Age UK South Staffordshire is the largest charity organisation providing dementia care, care and support in your own home and related services for older people in the Southern Staffordshire area. We operate in Cannock Chase District, South Staffordshire, Tamworth, Lichfield and parts of East Staffordshire and Stafford. We offer local care services for local older people in your local area. Age UK Waltham Forest
Age UK is here to inspire, enable and support older people to make the most of later life. The work and support we provide at Age UK covers a number of different services, including: Information and advice We provide information or advice on anything from health to housing. We also publish impartial and informative factsheets and advice guides. Campaigns Our Public Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns teams raise awareness of the difficult situations faced by many older people and keep ageing issues in the public eye and in parliament. The issues we campaign on can vary, from calling for reform of the care system to trying to improve the bus route in our local community. Our campaigns offer lots of opportunities for us all to get involved and be heard by those who have the power to make our lives better. Commercial products Most of us want to remain independent - living in our own home for as long as possible, and keeping doing the things in life that we love the most. Our products and services are tailored to the needs of people in later life. We offer travel, motor and home insurance; funeral plans; gas and electricity packages; and aids for the home, such as stairlifts and personal alarms. Training We are a successful national training provider that reaches over 10,000 learners annually. Our training services have received recognition from Ofsted and the sector skills council Skills for Care. Our work involves the tailored provision of innovative learning solutions designed to address the needs of local people of all ages, professionals and employers throughout the UK and internationally. Specifically we offer: Apprenticeships, qualifications, short courses and skills development programmes for success at work, particularly in the social care and health sectors. Employment acquisition initiatives, ‘planning for retirement’ services and learning in later life. Specialist support for providers of services to people in later life. Research Age UK is the only UK charity to focus research funds exclusively on later life. That's because we believe that we should all be able to enjoy good health in later life, free from the diseases and disabilities associated with growing older and the consequences that they can bring about, such as social isolation, anxiety, frailty and loss of independence. The research we fund is providing answers and we've already seen significant breakthroughs in dementia, falls prevention, stroke and incontinence, to name a few.
