1. Action Plan

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friends Session

All current staff at the surgery have attended a dementia friends information session to improve their understanding of how dementia affects people day to day lives.  This will help us to make our environment and services more dementia friendly.

All new staff will be offered the opportunity to attend a dementia friend information session.

  • Environment and signage

We will research advise on how to improve our wayfinding throughout the surgery and will look to replace signage where deemed necessary as and when the budge allows.

  • Raise awareness of services available for people affected by dementia

We will introduce the 'message in a bottle' scheme operated by the Lions and Carers Trust to our patients and carers of people with dementia.
