1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

People with dementia need to buy our products and services, which can be confusing to transact.  If we are able to raise our own awareness around dementia, we will be better able to recognise the barriers facing dementia sufferers and to help remove them, making it easier for all.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The main barrier is for us to understand what dementia is and to be able to recognise it in others.  Additionally we will need to understand, having recognised it, how we could help make what can be a complicated process, easier for a person with dementia to deal with.
