Cranbrook Education Campus

Our all through school educates children from the age of 2 years old to the age of 16. It has been open for 3 and half years and is growing year on year (next year we will have all year groups as we are yet to add years 6 and 11 to our school).

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

1. We will hold a staff awareness meeting led by Gina Awad on 1st May to promote awareness and to share our vision for the school
2. An opportunity for parents (up to a total of 40) to have the same awareness session (17th June) and to understand the importance of becoming part of the Dementia Action Alliance
3. Assemblies for children from year 2-5.
4. Assembly for year 7 to be arranged.
5. Dementia friendly signage around the school to be continued.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

A carefully formulated plan will overcome any challenges we hope.
