1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We will ensure that the branch and staff alike will have an understanding of our members that may have Dementia , and how to suppor them, this woudl also relate to supporting carers, we aim to create an enviroment that makes our members and carers feel valued and supported.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Resources, Understanding, Legistations within and outside of Nationwide Building Society.

  • Nationwide Beckenham Staff Becoming Dementia Friends

    All staff attending a Dementia Friend Aweness Session

  • Nationwide Beckenham branch enviroment

    At our location we are due to be re-fitted and have a branch upgrade, we would like to implement a physical enviroment area to help with our members with dementia , this may include a quiet area, signage etc

    For all staff to be aware and to have the relevent training to help support staff and their immediate family with Dementia.
