1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We can offer a destination for a break for people living with dementia and their carers where the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff have an understanding. We will offer a supportive environment where evryone feels comfortable.

On a more local level we have the facilities to hold events which can give people with dementia and their carers a social environment where there is support and respite.

we will hold fundraising events throughout the year to support research.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our team members would need to have a better understanding of how to offer support and understanding. They would need to learn how offer a comfortable environment.
