1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We would like to support people with dementia and help build a dementia friendly community.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We all need greater understanding of dementia.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friends Sessions

    We are going to run dementia friends sessions for our staff.

  • Dementia Friendly Checklist

    We are going to consider a dementia friendly premises checklist and in future when we make alterations and adaptions we will consider this checklist in our hotel.

  • Support and Local DAA

    We will spread the word and support the local DAA and help make BANES more dementia friendly.
