1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
Making our town a more dementia-friendly community is clearly the right thing to do for all our local families affected by dementia. Being a DAA member will help to keep us focused on our actions and these will be informed by families affected by dementia, by others in our community, and by our ongoing discussions at the Dementia-Friendly Newport Group.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
We would anticipate coming up against logistical and financial challenges from time to time, but we are hopeful that our enthusiasm will drive us forward to make a real difference in Newport.
