1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Educate our staff about dementia and the issues that those affected by dementia experience, as well as their carers. This will allow our staff to be able to communicate more effectively by either telephone or face to face and help those living with dementia understand their options when it comes to accountancy.

Review our premises where clients would visit and identify appropriate changes that could be made to help those with Dementia such as clear signage.

Baxter & Co. could also help to explain to other clients with businesses how they can help make their organisations more Dementia friendly.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Cost - available budget to make necessary changes to the offices such as signage and decoration.

Time - Arranging for all staff to watch educational videos in an appropriate time frame as they are often away from the office.
