1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The Regal offers relaxed film performances for people living with dementia, their family carers and other vulnerable people. The venue is a safe environment and during relaxed performances free tea and coffee is offered and lights lowered but not off and sound levels reduced.  Attendees can feel free to sing along and walk around if needed.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Demand for films and attendance figures to ensure we can continue to offer the films enjoyed

Being able to access appropriate films for audiences to enjoy during relaxed performances

Continued support by residents of the town
