1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
All staff and volunteers have received dementia friends awareness training. As a library we provide a safe environment for people living with dementia and their carers family and friends. We have a large range of different resources for people to enjoy and people can spend time here at the library in a safe environment. We are a member of Stowmarket DAA and support and promote activities and events in the town. r
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
The biggest challenge would be that of time and staffing levels which could mean at busy times it could be more difficult to be able to support people who are seeking additional help
