1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As a force we have embraced the work of the DAA and would like to forge a local connection and develop and support local initiatives.   Our Valued Independent Person scheme will help with any calls into the police and assist in the quickness of obtaining information.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Police resourcing will always be a challenging one as we have to act on the demand.  Awareness of dementia is important to us and we will endeavor to support your organisation whenever possible.

2. Actions
