1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

BRLSI is looking to improve its response to visitors and members showing signs of dementia when they come into our organisation. We have had difficulties in knowing what to do, when, for instance, people tell us they don't know how to get home.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We feel our staff and volunteers need training for the range of responses required.
