1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Ensuring that the dementia awareness is delivered at the appropriate level for each member group.

2. Actions

  • Host a dementia awareness session/workshop

    We will work with Claire Puckey (Dementia Friendly City Coordinator, Plymouth City Council) to arrange/organise a presentation to our older and younger members, to raise awareness.

  • Make our property dementia friendly.

    We plan to arrange a date for Claire Puckey to visit our organisation to advise on what could be done to improve and make our building dementia friendly.
