1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As a community-based arts organisation with a public-facing venue, Saffron Hall wants to do all it can to support those living with dementia in our area. It has become an important focus of our Learning & Participation programme, where we have recognised a need for high-quality arts therapy for those affected by dementia  - both those diagnosed, and their carers & companions. With health & social care budgets been ever-squeezed, Saffron Hall hopes to make a powerful contribution to the local care provision, in close liaison with other local partners and stake holders.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Understanding the complex web of existing local provision.

Finding sustainable funding sources.

Finding ways to meet the demand for Together in Sound (particularly those who are most isolated)
