1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
By accommodating and assisting wherever possible, to ensure that their time within the Centre is as stress free an environment as we can make it.
Organising education and training for staff
Invite a speaker to attend the Tenant quarterly meeting
Investigate signage and the general environment to improve the experience to people living with dementia
Promote events specifically aimed towards dementia to improve awareness in the Centre and wider afield
Partnership with and support for the Exeter Dementia Alliance 2019 Calendar
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
We do have 43 tenants within the Centre that we as the management team need to encourage into action, dealing with many Head Offices and managers.
