1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Heritage Will Writers is committed to raising awareness of the need for everyone in the UK to have a current Will and Lasting Power of Attorney.  A Lasting Power of Attorney is separate to your Will and gives you peace of mind by appointing someone to make decisions on your behalf if required, so an understanding of Dementia and its impact is vital for both our Staff and Clients.

We are dedicated to ensuring as many of our staff as possible access the Dementia Awareness training to ensure it is embedded through the organisation as part of our Client Focused Core values.

We are committed to promoting our membership of the Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance across all of our communication channels, including our website, social media, stationery and our promotional literature.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

By working with the Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance, we will be able to ensure that our processes and our communications are "Dementia friendly" and our staff will be equipped to challenge each other to ensure that Dementia Awareness is embedded throughout Heritage Will Writers.
