1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We at the Nugent are aiming for every store to be Dementia aware. This will involve enabling staff to become dementia friends. We will also be encouraging the stores to look at their signage. Along with this we are looking to support the opening of a Dementia Cafe

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The main challenge is to ensure the drive for Awareness training is empowered within each store. We also face challenges with signage within occupier demise. To ensure the cafe is sustainable and fully supported from the stores at the centre.
