1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We specifically train our staff in dementia awareness. Our day centre gives people living with dementia a chance to be out of their homes and socialise with others around them while stimulating mind, body and soul. It also gives the carers of the individuals a chance to perhaps attend appointments without having to worry about looking after their loved ones for that time. We offer 7 days a week from 8 am until 7 pm.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The struggles we are facing is getting our name around, we don't have many clients who attend the day centr as yet
