1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We are a family firm and we want to provide an excellent service to our customers, many of whom have been customers for many years.  We can make a difference to the lives of our customers with dementia by providing a caring service and that they are confident in the services that we offer.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our challenges are having an awareness of dementia and what we can do if we have concerns about someone's memory.

2. Actions

  • Improve dementia awareness within our working environment to support our valued customers and ensure a friendly service.

The most appropriate staff members will attend dementia friends session to ensure a greater understanding and then promote this throughout the workplace.
