1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We want to enable people affected by dementia to be able to use public green spaces throughout BaNES. We are the Parks Service at BaNES responsible for parks.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The restoration of Sydney Gardens - we will evaluate the Sydney Gardens project in full on completion of the restoration in 2021.

Effectiveness of all actions to make BaNES parks dementia friendly - we will review progress alongside the evaluation of Sydney Gardens project.
