1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

By providing training to the staffs, we aim to provide a more dementia friendly enviornment and provide assistance in anyway if possible. Our goal is to provide a friendly environment and friendly staffs to assist people with dementia so that they can achieve their day-to-day tasks.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We may find challenges when it comes to ordering food, as people with dementia may not remember what they have order or even forgot they have ordered. When it comes to this situation, staff member will be told to aware of dementia and provide assitance if possible.

2. Actions

  • Initail action for providing more dementia friendly environment

    In order to provide a more dementia friendly environment, we are aiming take the following action:

    1. staff training

    Staff will be encourage to gain more understanding to dementia. By learnnig from information on the offical website and booklet of Dementia friend, staff will be able to have general understanding of dementia and how can we assist.

    2. review

    after we served customer with dementia, we will review our action immediately and discuss if we can provide better assistance and more dementia friendly enviorment.

    3. Encourage staffs friends and families and other business to get involved.

    With our employees, we will encourage their family and friends to be aware of dementia as well as I will personally encourage other local business owner to become a dementia friends.
