1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We want to create a dementia friendly home , remain aware of new policies and improve our practices as necessary.  We will do this by

Raising awareness and understanding of dementia

We will send staff members  on train the trainer programmes and also provide an information board

Providing a quiet area

We will create a quiet area within the home

Adequate signage

We will create signage that s understandable for people living with dementia

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Time is a challenge as is staff shortages
