1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

TBMC would like to help the local community especially those suffering with dementia and those caring for them.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The challenge will be to increase our members understanding of dementia and how best to engage with those who have it and their carers

2. Actions

  • Organise and deliver memory worship services

Our Memory Worship services have been running for 2 months and everyone who attends really engages and enjoys the service.  Our team is becoming established and gaining confidence and enjoying interacting with our guests.  We are hoping to build up the numbers attending over the next few months and are going to try different ways to advertise this service to the communityl.
