1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We would like to ensure that people who are diagnosed with Dementia don’t stop using leisure facilities, we want to ensure that they can still continue to have a healthy lifestyle in an environment that is friendly, welcoming and supportive

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Ensure that we don’t have any barriers  in place that would deter people with Dementia from using leisure facilities – Ensure staff are trained and that we carry out an audit of our leisure facilities
