1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The Oakwood branch now have a better understanding of recognising signs of dementia and the impact it has on the person and their families.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

People may not always be aware of the signs of dementia

  • Raise Awareness

    Raise awareness amongst our team. Provide individuals in Oakwood with good services from better understanding 

  • Awareness in the company

    Planning future sessions to raise awareness about dementia across the company. 

  • Community links

    The Oakwood branch staff to visit retirement apartment complex and show a friendly face.
