1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
The Town Council would like to see Southam become a Dementia Friendly Town and by becoming a DAA member that will support the Town Council to achieve this. The first step is to raise awareness and use our communication streams to inform residents that we are here to help, so that residents affected can tell us how we can be supported.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Trying to get people to engage (residents and businesses alike) but hopefully the more information we give about dementia the more people will want to get involved
