1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We want to join Southampton Dementia Action Alliance to help support our fans and visitors who are affected by dementia, and to ensure their supporter experience is as safe, friendly, and enjoyable as possible.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Raising awareness with such a wide variety of staff and visitors.
We will become Dementia Friends
We will encourage all staff that work at the club to raise their own awareness of dementia, and to become Dementia Friends
We will assess our environment
We will arrange an environmental assessment of the football club to see what dementia-friendly changes can be made.
We will promote dementia friendly work
We will promote the work that Southampton is doing to become more dementia friendly.
