Southampton Football Club is a professional association football club based in Southampton, which plays in the Premier League, the top tier of English football. Our stadium is also home to Halo Conferencing & Events (part of the SFC Group) and sees visitors from all walks of life for a wide variety of events.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We want to join Southampton Dementia Action Alliance to help support our fans and visitors who are affected by dementia, and to ensure their supporter experience is as safe, friendly, and enjoyable as possible. 

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Raising awareness with such a wide variety of staff and visitors.

    We will encourage all staff that work at the club to raise their own awareness of dementia, and to become Dementia Friends
