Healthwatch Camden

About Healthwatch Camden Healthwatch Camden gives out information to Camden locals on health and social care providers. We signpost people to services depending on their needs. We have the power to influence the delivery and design of local health and social care services and sit on the Health and Wellbeing Board. We work in partnership with local organisations to help shape local services not just for the people who use them, but for anyone who might need to in future. Camden is a young and diverse community and we want to make sure that every voice is heard, so that all our needs are met when using local services. We also signpost people to enable them to make complaints. Healthwatch Camden also has a Healthwatch complaints policy.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim to ensure that we have a comprehensive understanding of the range of health and social care needs and services in Camden, so that we can influence provision and signpost local people to the available services. By joining and being active in the Camden Dementia Action Alliance, we will improve our capabilities in this increasingly important area.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We do not foresee any significant barriers to implementing our actions.
