1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Providing activities such as singing for older people which has health benefits and has been proven to help those affected by Dementia.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Funding, lack of staff awareness.

  • Hold a Dementia Friends Session

    We will arrange a training session to educate and raise awareness of Dementia.

  • Promote and display Alzheimer's Society services

    As part of a tour of a community roadshow throughout Merton, we will display the material alongside the production.

  • Look to provide relaxed performances

    In future productions we could assign a specific performance as relaxed to take into account those living with Dementia.
