1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
As an organisation TRB are keen to ensure a safe and positive experience for all it's Patrons. We are holding meetings with Demantia friends associates informing our Staff across the theatre to help them recognise and understand Dementia. We are also looking at ways to improve access and inclusion further.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Being a listed building we have some constraints when it comes to access but we are seeking advice from the DAA as to where changes can be made and on the type of performances, workshops and community engagment that would benefit people with dementia and their families.
Dementia Friends Sessions
We are going to host dementia friedns sessions with our staff and volunteers.
Supporting our local Dementia Action AllianceWe will where possible support our local dementia action alliance and spread the word to encourage others to join the local Dementia Action Alliance.
