1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
The Salon supports people living with dementia to feel safe and supported in Felixstowe. Good customer care means that staff are helpful and supportive making it easier for people living with dementia to continue to enjoy feeling good about their appearance.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
None - its basic customer care
The owner will attend Dementia Friends session to understand dementia better and encourage other staff to access the Dementia Friends video online.

Making Felixstowe Dementia Friendly
The Salon will support the local Dementia Action Alliance to make Felixstowe a dementia friendly town by displaying when and if appropriate certificate, window stickers and logo on website.
Customer Facing Guide
The Salon will download or order a 'How to help people with dementia: A guide for customer facing staff' for staff to refer to.
