1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We provide person centred care for  all our reisdents, treating each and every resident with respect, as individuals , whether or not they have a dementia diagnosis. We are commited to delivering high quality relationship centred care fo all. All memebers of the Care UK " team " receieve appropriate training and support to ensure they understand and can deliver the care required for  each and every resident.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

An ongoing proactive recruitment program is in place to ensure we can meet the ever changing demands of the needs of our residents and the population as a whole within the home.

2. Actions

  • On going program of awarenes raising.

    All new team members to be encouraged to become " dementia friends "

    Current team members to be encouraged also to become " dementia  friends".

  • Providing continuous in depth dementia training

    For all team members

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents

    Through trainig, and awareness for all team members, and ensuring that the home provides a safe and secure environment.
