1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We offer first class care for residents who live with dementia with over one hundred care homes across the UK. Silversprings care home has a dedicated dementia suite to help people who live dementia at various stages of there journey. On a local level we will be delivering regualar dementia friends sessions, we also run understanding dementia events and also events around how to communicate with people who live with dementia for the general public to attend

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We have not identified any specific challenges for our organisation.


2. Actions

  • Raising awareness of dementia in the community

    We will run dementia friends sessions in the home and to the community. we will also run Listen, Talk, Connect sessions which help people understand how to communicate with people who live with dementia.
