1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Many of our customers have been affected by this disease and we have the opportunity to reach out and assist them through empathy and practical help.

As a Building Society we aim to up-skill our colleagues to spot triggers and indications of need and then offer services to fit that need.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Challenges for the branch could be resourcing issues - we are quite a small team so staffing levels could  make it dificult to volunteer our time.
