1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

With our demographic of customer and the peole we speak to everyday have either been affected themselves or know someone who has been affected by this desease and I would love to be able to reach out and help them any way I can. whether it be by simply talking to them about how they are coping, helping them in their  local community or providing a service / donation to help them  'live well' with dementia.

As a building Society we aim to upskill all our colleagues to spot any triggers that might come up in conversation and offer any services that might help with their situation.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Challenges for the branch could be resourcing issues - we are quite a small team so staffing levels could  make it dificult to volunteer our time.
