Home Instead Camden

Home Instead Camden provides relationship-led support for elderly people in their own homes throughout North London. We deliver all aspects of care, including home help, personal care and companionship, tailoring our service to every individual person’s needs. Whether you are looking for care for yourself or for a loved one, we can help. At Home Instead Camden we appreciate that neither giving nor receiving care is easy. We put relationships at the centre of our practise, and believe that the dignity and comfort of our clients is of paramount importance. While the details of every individual’s care differ, from companionship to palliative care, the goal remains the same: To enhance the lives of seniors and their families through caring, thoughtful support, giving elderly people vital independence wherever they call home. Conditions like dementia present unique challenges, and you can lean on us as you face them. Our specialised training programmes equip Home Instead caregivers with the skills needed to help seniors cope with their condition while maximising their own capabilities. We are experienced with meeting the care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, arthritis, Parkinson’s, diabetes and many other conditions. Home Instead Senior Care is an award-winning franchise and rated the UK’s No 1 provider of in-home support by Laing & Buisson; we are the UK’s most compliant care provider in terms of CQC inspection. Home Instead’s compliance leads the industry standards - one of the reasons clients refer to us as the ‘Rolls Royce of the care industry

Local Alliances:
Camden Dementia Action Alliance

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim to ensure that not only our care-givers, but our clients, their families and the wider community in Camden have the best possible understanding of the challenges and opportunities for people living with, or affected by, dementia. We will therefore be reaching out to the community with opportunities to learn more and to take advantage of the resources available to people with dementia and their carers through members of the Alliance.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

The amount of outreach that we will be able to deliver is of course limited by the time available and by the number of people who become aware of, and take up, the information sessions/workshops we offer, but past experience suggests much can be achieved.
