1. Action Plan

We believe that the Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce can support the Worthing DAA by becoming Dementia Friends and promoting positive actions to the business community which will advance Worthing and Adur's Dementia Friendly Community initiative.

We will review this on an annual basis and work with Worthing DAA.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friendly Communities

Signpost local businesses to the Worthing DAA and the Alzheimer's Society to make it easy to acquire information on making their businesses dementia friendly and to promote an active dementia friendly community.

  • Staff and Executive to be encouraged to become Dementia Friends

Arrange Dementia Friends information sessions for our own staff and executive committee.

  • Support Worthing Dementia Action Alliance

Support Worthing DAA's events and encourage Chambers members to become more aware of the advantages of encouraging their employees to become Dementia Friends.  Offer free use of a room for the DAA's steering group to meet bi-monthly.
