1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Continually promote a culture, with the use of ongoing training, where colleagues have the knowledge, awareness and understanding to support clients either living with or supporting people with dementia.

Continually review the environment and documentation we offer our clients to ensure it is dementia friendly

Promote dementia awareness on our website and other forms of social media

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?


Tight deadlines and a busy workload for staff together with maintaining the profile and focus on an ongoing basis.
