1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We have a fully inclusive approach and aim to welcome everyone to our projects. We want to give people living with dementia the choice to enrich their lives with visits to the theatre with their families and special teas.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
We want to understand the needs of people living with dementia and their families and carers. We want to be able to dedicate more time to promotong our offer.
We will provide afternoon teas and free theatre tickets for The Importance of Being Earnest for people living with dementia and their families and carers
We will train the staff and volunteer team to become dementia freinds
We will work with people living with dementia and other organisations to ensure The Avenue Theatre building is adaptated where possible to be accessible.
