1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We wish to help raise awareness of dementia in the local area and to make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia and those caring for them.
We will gather opinions from people we meet in Marlborough and the surrounding areas through networking, professional contacts and people visiting Savernake View Care Home.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
We will review the effectiveness of our actions by keeping a record of numbers of dementia friends and cafe members. We will also gather feedback from participants of the memory café and review all local actions regularly at DAA meetings.
To organise a Memory Café bi-monthly for people locally.
