1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We want to engage more with people living with dementia in Ealing and aspire to do this by joining the local Dementia Action Alliance where we will hear more about dementia. We will work closely with the Alzheimer's Society to deliver some events that will be enjoyable for people living with dementia at the Park
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
The main challenge will be fitting this in with the programme of events we already have for 2017
Facilities and signage
We will look at all our signs to ensure that they are easy to read and understand
Support fundraising events
We intend to support at least one fundriasing event this year, for example Memory Walk in September
Dementia Friends sessions
We will host at least one Dementia Friends session at the Rickyard Education Centre for the public and/or employees of the park to attend
We will Tweet/retweet dementia related stories and information about fundraising events
