1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The services we offer our customers are 100% Person Centred – We are “Care As …YOU… Like It Ltd” and all of the ‘I’ statements in the National Dementia Declaration are at the heart of what we do.

This is why we became an advanced Dementia Specialist service so as to have the correct knowledge to support people with Dementia in the best and most appropriate way.

The Owner and Registered Manager is also a qualified trainer and delivers regular appropriate training to all staff.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our main difficulty is trying to get families to be more dementia aware.
