1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

As a firm specialising in later life financial planning, it is imperative for us to become involved with and promote ourselves as a Dementia Friendly business, We already have a number of clients affected by dementia and will advise them at their annual review meeting.

For new clients we will make them aware of state benefits, legal and welfare matters.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our process, procedures and commitment to our clients is regular contact and monitoring of later life financial planning and management. We will include dementia awareness as an agenda item on all future annual review meetings.
