1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim to encourage our members, particularly local retailers, to understand the needs of people with dementia and their carers and to train their staff to assist people with dementia who may use their establishments as customers.

We will encourage others to join the Dementia Action Alliance

We will nominate a dementia champion for the Chamber

We will encourage others to become dementia Friends

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
